Competition Terms & Conditions

Selections will take place at the end of September 2023 by Fru Tholstrup, Don McCullin, Andrew Logan, Kate Malone and Mike Kus. The work will be presented to them anonymously.

Selected artists from each category will be invited to exhibit a selection of work alongside work by the selectors at Bridport Arts Centre, South St, Bridport from 13th October to 4th November 2023. Art work will need to be delivered to Bridport Arts Centre on Monday October 9th. Works must be transported and insured by the individual exhibitors. All entrants will be invited to an awards ceremony on Friday 13th October.

The Marshwood Arts Awards reserve the right to refuse any piece of work for any reason. The selectors’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Any work presented that has been modified or created by the use of AI or other digital enhancements will be considered for the Digital Media category but must be declared in the Personal Statement.

Prints supplied in the Print Photography category can be returned if supplied with pre-addressed and postage-paid return materials.

Artists entering this award agree to make three pieces of the submitted work available for exhibition in Bridport Arts Centre from 13th October to 4th November 2023. The work will be for sale unless otherwise agreed and a Bridport Arts Centre gallery commission of 35% will be charged on sales.
